I went to the dealer to discuss trading my 2005 2210(196 hours on it and **** good condition) and 210 loader and 62 mmm for a new 2520 with the 200cx loader and 62 mmm mower. I was in total shock to find out he would only give me 10,500 for mine and wanted 18,000 for the 2520! Is the 2520 worth 7500 over the 2210? How much do people who have traded a 2210 or 2305 in for a 2520 believe the actual upgrade would be worth in terms of dollars? Man, the range from 10,500 to 18,000 seems awfully high for 3.5 horsepower and better hydraulics. I only have 2.5 acres which I mainly mow and light occasional dirt and rock work and projects that come up now and then but nothing serious. What is everyone opinion of my situation?
Trading 2210 for 2520, man those 2520 are expensive

Well, you haven't really told us you "situation". What is the reason you are thinking of upgrading?
For mowing and "occasional" loader work, I see no major advantage of the 2520 over the 2210. If you where considering a backhoe...then I could see the upgrade.

2210 w 250 hours
210 loader
62C deck
for:
2520
200CX
LR1172 rake w/wheels ($1135)
My differential price was close to yours - plus note that I did not get the 62D, but the rake instead.
$18K for a 2520 w/200CX w/62D is a good price I think.
And remember, you are trading a used tractor for a new one......

I just traded in my 04 2210 with 54"mmm, fel and 4' BB... for a new 2520 with 200cx loader, 5' frontier BB and r4 tires loaded with rimguard. My dealer gave me $11,500 and sold his for $17,300. For me, the upgrade was well worth it.
I was tired of dragging the mower deck on and off when I needed to work in the woods( 2 acre's or wood's and 1 acre of lawn.) Also, the loader is alot better.
Trust me I loved my 2210, but the 2520 suits my needs better. The only issue I have with it is the high gear. If you are mostly mowing, I would not upgrade...but if a hoe is in your future....

Sounds like the pricing is about right, it's up to you to decide if the benefits are worth the $7500.
Based on the short description you gave of your work, I'd keep the 2210. But, that's me.
