I'm shopping for my first tractor. I have 15 acres and plan to clear adn keep up all 15 one day. I got a 1000' driveway also. I have been looking at the 4320 but after my dealer telling me some that thier 4000 series can't stay out of the shop I'm concerned and wanting to know some more information on the 3720. How does it handle a 6' brush hog, How does it compare to the kubota L3940? What kind of price am i looking at for a 3720, 300CX, and a cab?

I've had my 4520 for over a year now and am quite pleased with it. I use it to tend our 22 acre place: hay mowing/raking/baling, brush hogging, woods clearing, that sorta thing. Certainly no reliability issues yet (only have a couple hundred hours on it though).

Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions on my experiences the 4x20 series. I'm afraid I've never used a 3x20 before, but I'm sure it's a good machine as well.

Have 4520. No issues that haven't been addressed. Yacked at dealer service manager, they have not seen any more 4x20 than any other mod.

I like the bigger engine, frame. It is noiser than the yanmar engine, but it also out performs it.

I looked at both these series and decided that bigger was better for my needs. I got a 4720 and love it. I'd go with the larger frame size for mowing. It'll be a more stable and comfortable ride. It's amazing how much more productive you'll be with the hydro.

The only time the 4720 went back to the dealer was to redo the back wheels so they were set wider (as ordered but not done at dealer so they did not even get it off the truck). All the 4x20 have the same engine just tuned and turboed different. No complaints (other than some of the ergonomics when changing fluids and such) and oodles of power.

Cabs are very nice once inside but a little tight for those of us with limited mobility.

I've had my 4520 almost three years and use it for brushing with the MX6, and loader work moving dirt and snow. have never had any problems. Great machine.

I have an open station 3320 and it is a great machine. I have an MX 6 mower I have for another tractor but occasionally use it on the 3320. The 3320 will handle a heavy duty chopper mower but I have to stay out of the bigger stuff (over a foot tall). The 3320 would handle a 5 foot lighter mower a lot better. The 3720 has a few more horses than the 3320 but would be the same weight. The MX 6 is well over a 1000 pounds and I have to keep the loader on for front weight. If I had the option, and could afford it, I would go with the 4xxx series tractor with cab. I priced both when I bought mine but the 4520 with cab was $12,000 higher than my open station 3320 E-hydro. That was too far out of my budget.

well price is definitly a determining factor for me as well. Now that i'm **** bent on a cab and loader, Price will be up there around 30K. So I'm budgeting between 25K and 30K for this. Right now my options are looking at the Kubota L3940, JD 4320, JD 3720, MF 1547, Case/NH TC45. I'd like to hang around 40 to 45 horsepower. Of course I'd also like to make sre this is the last tractor i buy for a long time.

What kind of issues are they having with the 4000 series? Is that 4x20 or the whole 4000 series of old?

I have had a 4720 for coming on 3 yrs. I love it. I have had a couple issues:

The fuel filler lid is a piss poor design - the pins like to fall out.
Front end loader tab broke off - bad Chinese casting.
