What are the differences. Are they simply moving the 5x25 series out? Their web site seems to slant the information ther to the 5xx3 series.

To further compound it their 6030 series overlaps into both of these.

There is a WORLD of difference between those two series machines. The 5X25 series machines are much heavier, have many more options, have much great hyd. capacity, lift capacity...its like comparing apples to oranges. Just because there is hp lap doesn't mean one is replacing the other. They are aimed at two very different customers. What are you looking to do with your tractor?

Yes, ditto what Gamble said. Perhaps you are thinking of a 5103 vs. a 5105? That was a much closer match. Current 5x03 series (other than 5603) are basic ROPS tractors at good prices. 5x25 series are ROPS or cab tractors with huge range of options, and fully optioned up are the nicest, fanciest machines in their size class. With a price to match.

I have a 5103 2wd that I bought for around $13k. For the weekend tractor guy like me, I can not see paying nearly TWICE the amount of $money for a 25 series tracor. That being said, the 25 series tractor is a MUCH NICER tractor with more options and nice features. There are many times I long to trade up but my wallet tells me I am on the right machine. I use my tractor for mowing, making food plots, and use the FEL to keep roads clear and clean. I am very happy with the tractor. My monthly payment is around $250. I would be paying probably double that if I had bought the 25 series. Even my sales rep said, "for what you are doing, the 5103 is what you need." Consider what your needs are and how much you will be using the machine and that should help you with your decision. If you are going to be using the tractor a couple of times per week, every week, I would lean to the 25 series. If you are weekend tractor guy, go with the 03 series. Good luck.

the 03s are good tractors. I really like the 5603.

I have a 5525 and it has been superb. I first started looking at a 5303 and ended up with the 5525. Wow - that was an upsale. Once you drive them, they kinda sell themselves. Now that the 03s have 4WD - makes it a tougher sell.

5603 - nice cab and 4wd - really hard to be honest.
What are people paying for 5603s anyway?

I hear ya - I hate that payment every month but when it is 100 degrees outside - it is a no brainer.

A local dealer was advertising the 5603 with a FEL for $39,999 down here.

That is a lot of tractor for the money. My 5525 cab 4wd was $41K without a loader 3 years ago.

It is a darn good deal and one of which I almost took advantage. But, I wanted a few goodies like the e-hitch, a third mid SVC and 3 rear SVCs. Those aren't options on the 5603. :(
