Buying Advice 400CX vs 400X

As promised, pict. Better late than never. Moot point for the original poster, but for others. The comparisons are not exact, but compare the edge of my 2305 with 200 cx with the 4520 with 400cx. Full loads of 3/8- crushed. All three pict full rolled back.

I think the capacity of the 4n1 is less than the standard bucket. And the length of the bottom of the bucket and the depth (length of the sides) is correspondingly less.

So, I'm wondering if the problem of "losing part of your heaped load" is not nearly as bad with a standard or HD bucket and the SL loader as it might be with the 4n1?

I went with the 400X on my 4720 and wish I would have spent a few extra bucks and got the 400CX. It was my fault for not researching it to see the differences. My dealer told me about the self leveling and I thought I did not need that. However if I had known about the difference in lift capacity I would have gone with the 400CX.

4120 with a 400x and a 4n1
With the additional weight of the bucket, the added lift capacity would have been a big plus.
