Just bought a used JD 6415

I had been looking for either a 4 cylinder 5X25 series or 6XXX series tractor for awhile. I wanted mfwd, open station, reverser and a JD loader.

I finally bought a 2006 6415, mfwd, open station, reverser, power quad, and a 640SL loader. 2562 hours. I mainly looked at 6110s, 6210s,6120s & 6220s in the 6000 series. The 6X15 is JD "value/price" tractor, not all the bells and whistles of the 6X20 series, so I got it for less than the 5425 & 5525s I had been looking at.

Former one owner tractor, traded for a cab tractor. Dealer gave the former owner's name and number (with his permission). I called and he told me everything I wanted to know about it.

I plan to add third function valve to the mid valve and hard lines to loader for a grapple to move some big logs.

Get a 7' brush hog to replace my 6' and play on my 63 acres.

Why not get an 8' or larger cutter so you don't have to get the tires against the fences and trees?

I may look at 8 footers too, just seems once you go to twin spindles the price really shoots up
