Which of these two would you rather have? They look to be almost the same tractor, built around the same time.

From looking the 4410 has maybe 2 or 3 HP more and a weighs a few hundred more pounds. Lifting capacitites are about the same.

The 4410 has a 430 loader the 4310 has a 420 loader. The 4410 has 300 more hours on it at 800 vs. 500 on the 4310.

Any big differences in these tractors I should know about? Looks like they were only made for a few years.

Thanks,

They are virtually identical machines except for the engine/horsepower. Same hydro system, frame/chassis, axles...

The 430 loader is the better one with greater lift capacity over the 420 loader, either was available for both machines.

Agree with kennyd, and would certainly get the one with the 430 FEL. Assume both have HST.
What is the price difference?

1. 2002, 4410, 800 hrs, 430 loader, 5' bushhog, 5' box blade $15,900
2. 2002, 4410, 272 hrs, 420 loader $15,500
3. 2003, 4310, 537 hrs, new 300x loader $14,499

I like that the 4410 has a little more HP but like the lower hours and the new loader on the 4310. I think I could get a good bushhog and maybe a box blade for the $1,500 difference?

Thoughts,

That's quite the decision. My 4310 is an 04 with 580 hours on it. Great tractor no problems. Except, my 430 loader was a bit abused and is sloppy, but still works good and has plenty of lifting power. Also while using my 6 ft finish mower I sometimes wish for more hp. But all I have to do is slow down. That happens mostly when the grass is really thick in the spring.

That being said. I think I would go with door number three. Less hours. Newer loader. And would the two hp make that big of a difference? Maybe But not worth it in this comparison. Just my two cents

I forgot to mention they are all HST.

I am torn in each direction. If door number 2 had the 430 loader I would open that one. I need to find out how much weaker the 420 vs the 430 is.

I can't find the tractor that is the right price that is set up the way that makes me happy. I am driving myself crazy looking at tractor after tractor while I am not getting anything done at our land.

Anyone of them would do nicely...the difference in hours is negligible as long as they were maintained.
However, don't wait too long to make a decision...good tractors (and the 4310's and 4410's are good tractors) sell fast.

Lift capacity difference between the 2 loader was only about 200#. The main difference was in the lift height approx 86" at pin vs 101"

You might be able to find a good brush hog mower and box blade for $1,500... but, I'll bet you'll have to do some real lookin' for anything that's in half-way good condition!

Granted, they're only 5' implements but any brush-hog mower that's in good-excellent condition is likley gonna go for $1,250 or so and if the box-blade is in good shape it's gonna be $400 -- if you can find 'em!

If the tractor has been maintained well the additional hours are not that significant.

Loader, Hp and implements - I'd go with tractor #1 - condition, maintainance being equal.

From the pictures tractor No. 1 looked good, it also has the quick attach system/coupler as well. The bucket looked like it still had most of the paint on it so not too much use. I emailed him today and he said it might be sold and would know for sure tomorrow. Would have looked at it already but it is 2 hours away from me and could not get there until tomorrow.
