Comparison 2005 John Deere 3320 versus a new 3320

I'm considering the purchase of a 2005 deere 3320 that appears to be in great shape with about 950 hours on it. It has a 300CX loader on it.

Does anyone know of any significant updates that Deere made on newer model year 3320 tractors to fix issues the are on the 2005 model?

Are there any problem areas with the 2005 model I should be aware of?

I just upgraded from a 2005 3320 with a 300x loader to a 4120 with a 400cx loader. My 3320 had 565 hrs on it and was problem free with no issues. Is the one you're considering hydro? Mine was a power reverser tranny.

Yes, it is a hydro, non cab model.

I have a 2005 3520 ehydro with a 300x with 550 hours - no issues at all.

2008 3320 ehydro here, only issue was with the tilt steering wheel lock slipping, fixed under warranty.

My 2005 3320 ~ 600 hrs is a thing of beauty. With the ehydro tranny, 4 wheel drive and cruise control its great.
I got very lucky as I purchased the tractor, FEL, forks, bucket and a 5 foot Howse rotary mower for 15K. I purchased it used 2 years ago. My only regret which I didnt realize at the time of purchase is that it came with a 300 loader. I have adjusted to it.

Problems: Stickey emergency brake, headlights dont work, and a few other small items. I have no regrets purchasing this tractor.

I just traded in my 2005 3720 with 600 hours for a brand new 2012 3720. Both tractors outfitted identically, with the exception of the new Autoconnect deck.
The major difference between the tractors was the turning radius. It's much improved and an added bonus I wasn't expecting. Aside from that, the joy stick now controls the mid rockshaft. Personally, I liked the old style control better because there was no fiddling around with connecting the deck's hydraulics.

The problems I had with the old tractor were very minor. The accuracy of the fuel sender quit a few years ago, and the fuel door somehow broke. Nothing major at all and was still a great tractor.
