Tractor
2013 John Deere 5083E
Ordered my 5083e yesterday. Should have it next week... :)

This tractor is physically taller than my 5045D by about 4 inches. I have a clearance issue on my sheds, and would like to lower the tractor a bit. The R4's that are listed as an option are shown with a 51.5" diameter (the R1's are 58.5"). The fronts are shorter, too.

Has anyone run R4's on a 5083E? For the work I do, the R4's should work OK.

Or is there another option?

Don't believe I have ever seen one with R4's. Is this on open station or cab tractor? If the R4's resolve your clearance issues and you don't need/prefer the R1's, I cant imagine a better way to reduce the overall height. If open station, the horizontal exhaust and folding ROPS should help.

Thanks!! This is a cab tractor. I'm looking at the R4's. Just gotta convince the dealer to swap them, or find someone that wants to trade.

Have you seen the pictures of the John deere 5085M with R4s in the John Deere Owning Operation section titled "Factory Fressh 5085M"? it might give you an idea what that size tractor looks like with R4s. Not the same model, but similar size.
