Price Check Need price check real fast- 2001 4100 gear 10hrs

I'm looking at a 2001 4100 gear drive with less than 10hrs.
The price is around $7900, and it includes a Rotary cutter (I think a 413). I want a unit with a FEL, but this doesnt have one.
The unit really hasnt been used, but I need a FEL and that option is about $2700 from dealer. This is a private sale, non dealer...

Anything to look out for on these machines??

I own a 2001 4100 hydro and you appear to be getting a good deal.

Go to www.machinerylink.com and you can see prices for various
used 4100(s).

I have put over 80 hours on my machine and so far so good.

IIRC the new price on those was about $9900. I have one, bought it new, have 200 trouble free hours on it. Good little machine. Plenty of power for everything I do, and the loader gets the work done quick. Why is it for sale with only 10 hours on the ticker?? Does the seller have a plausible reason for this?

If you don't see anything/can't find anything wrong with it, it sounds like a decent/good price. JD is now making a small backhoe for it now, too.

The owner ran into money issues, cant keep up with payments. I saw it and it hasnt been used, except a few times with the rotary cutter...R4's, gear drive, canopy

Whats IIRC ? and how do they list it for 9,900 with or without attachments?

I saw a used one by me, 4100 gear with a 54" mid-mount mower, 1999 with 26 hours asking $8300. Buyer didn't like the fact the PTO cut out with use of the clutch.

That got me thinking, I pulled out the sales slip for mine (2001) and paid $11,200 for it. I started scratching my head then remembered that $9999 didn't include an upgrade in tires or the DSCV required for the loader. My R4's and DSCV added the $1200.

I havent got my 2001 from the dealer yet, but didnt check
if the PTO cut out with use with clutch....all in all I have no regrets because the price was lowered to $7500 w/513, R4's and valve for loader.
I negotiated a lower FEL price for a 410, got a good credit for the 513 & canopy, added loaded tires, and tooth bar.
I anticipate the unit ready early next week. Was this the best deal in the world? I dont care about that...I made the choice to go for it and not look back...the unit truly only had 6.5 hrs when i first saw it...Once I feel comfortable with the machine and what I can do with the FEL, I will look at the BH #46 option closer (on back order for a few months)...
This unit will never be used for standard mowing, I have a new Cub cadet 3204 just for that...but I'm curious about the Live PTO question...missed that one /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
