Default Pulled the trigger today on a 5093e!

    Hi all!

I'm pretty excited as I took the plunge today on a 2013 5093e. First, and probably last, new tractor I'll ever by. I'm turning 50 this year, and this is my mid-life crisis cure!!! Some guys by sports cars, I guess I bought a tractor!

Here is how I configured it with list price next to each option:

    Tractor

    5093e $41,136

    11.2-24 R1 Bias Front tires $0
Dual Mid Valves with Joystick Control $1,206

    Setup $1,150
    Freight $437.50

    Subtotal $54,513.50

    Customer Discount ($11,293.50)

    Tractor Total $43,220

    Loader Specs

    553 Standard Loader $5,780
    Mounting Frame $108
    Skid Steer Carrier $242
2 function hoses and couplers $0
    Less John deere Bucket ($714)
78" HD Bucket Skid Steer mount $1,100
    Setup $630
    Freight 198.45

    Subtotal $7,581.45
    Customer Discount ($1031.45)

    Loader Cost $6,550

    Total Package $49,770

    Trade in $22,270

Due at Delivery $28,850 (Financed at 0% for 60mo's)

    Delivery date - Late March.

I negotiated hard and feel pretty good about where I ended up. About 20% off of list and 0% for 60 months on the balance.

Can't wait for late March to arrive!!

Nice job, looks like you did well. Who is the dealer you went with? I am going to the farm expo in Vermillion,SD today, the wife wont let me go alone, she is afraid I will bring home a new tractor.

I went with Schunemans out of Garretson, S.D., just northeast of Sioux Falls. Have fun at the Farm Expo, lots of toys there to tickle your fancy!

I said for years that when I turned 60 I was going to buy a new Harley Davidson. I didn't care how much in debt I was, I was going to have one. Well I did make it to 60. I bought a new Massey Freguson with a cab and heat instead. I do think it was a better choice. I am happy.
There is no $50 job I can't do without $100 worth of new tools.

Congrats on your new tractor! Nothing like a good, hard look at the calendar to get oneself "motivated"!

Thanks AKfish, I have to admit I've enjoyed your many posts as I've researched the tractor I need. I would have LOVED an M series, and the dealer I bought the 5093e from had a 5075m with 200 hrs and an H260 loader on it for 5k more than the 5093e but I decided I wanted HP for my extra $$ over the extra amenities of the 5075m. Time will tell if I made the right decision but for now I'm stoked.
