I paid $5800 for the 46 backhoe, subframe and 9" bucket. Freight was an additinal $91. Power beyond kit was $200. Installation was going to be $480, but I installed it myself.
I believe if you build a tractor on the JD website, and pick attachments you can get the details on the 46.

Dipperstick digging force: 1250 lb.
Bucket digging force: 2450 lb.
You do have to remove the MMM and 3 point hitch to use the backhoe which takes about 15 minutes. Care has to be taken when removing/installing the 3 point/MMM mount system or you will have to level the MMM when you reinstall it.
It's a decent digger. For comparison, when I picked it up, it was sitting next to a JD47 backhoe. The 47 was quite a bit larger in all aspects...cylinders, metal thickness. The 46 is more of a homeowner unit probably released to help JD compete with the BX22. I have not use the 46 enough to fully evaluate it.
