2 lawn tractors, shopping for real one.
Looking at buying 4510 w/ 460 loader. Want to upgrade to 72" 4-in-1 bucket.

As far as I can tell, Deere doesn't offer this bucket as an option. Considering ordering FEL less bucket.

3 questions:
Any sources for this bucket? want 72" in order to cover tire width.
Should I be concerned about warranty issues if using a third-party bucket?
Will JD dealer install it?

Although I dont anticipate any warranty issues arising from this, I dont know how quick JD is to start pointing fingers, should there be a problem.

thanks

wrkpig,

I have a non JD 4n1 bucket. Don't know the brand though.

The only problem I had with it is not having the hydraulic hoses
tucked out of the way correctly. The hoses got pinched in the
first couple of hours of use. The dealer fixed it without a
problem since it was a setup issue.

I have a 60 inch bucket. It does not fit the tire width which has
not been much of a problem. The one thing that to watch out
for with a 4n1 is that the bucket, at least on mine is a heavy
duty item. This is goodness. I have really used mine and they
only real ding I have on it is from off loading my box blade when
the equipment was delivered. The down side is that the box
is heavy so you will pick up less material. That may or may
not be an issue for you but keep it in mind.

I have a 4700 with a 460 FEL.

WR Long makes 4-in-1 Buckets in a variety of sizes. Here's a link to Carver Equipment, with pictures and specs: Carver Equipment

I have a 60 inch one on my Ford/NH 1520, and really like it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
