what's the opinion out there on a jd 5103 2wd with 510 loader used less than 1,000 hours 2003 model. What is it worth and is it a good tractor?

h20nut, you may get better responses by posting this question in the John Deere buying pricing forum as more users will see it. Just for what it's worth, I personally don't want a loader on a 2WD tractor for various reasons. Less problems on a 4WD. John

Good tractors, but I agree with KiotiJohn, go with 4wd, not 2.

I've not ran across anybody who owns one of these L&T built in India Deeres yet. Never seen one yet either. How does it look to you? What are they asking for it? Last winter they were advertising them in the Furrow for $13k and change I think it was.

At the World Ag Expo, in Tulare Ca, the John Deere reps, were quoting 13,800.00 retail to the public. Woodbeef- Who is L&T?

L&T is the ones in India that Deere is partnered up with to make tractors there. Might just be called LT-Deere now that I think of it,instead L&T-Deere.

That is what my local dealer quoted me on the 5103. 14800on the 5203 and 15800on the 5303but he also said that if you have tractor experience you will be much happier with the 5 series tractors.
