I went to the local dealer to look at a 4010 hst with loader. He quoted $12900. what do you guys think is this fair. Also is this tractor with 18 hp strong enough for tilling about half acre and maintain about two acres of lawn and etc. The 4115 was qouted at $14900. They also want $950 for a 48"cutter (Lx4) and $1600 for the 647 48" tiller. And info would be great thanks

Andre,

Was the 4115 price with a loader? The base price of the 4115 is 5K more than the 4010. So if you can get the same set-up for only 2K more, I would go with the 4115.

I am not directly familiar with these models but I am with tractors of this size. I currently own a JD 755. I think long term, you will be much happier with the 4115. It is a lot more tractor than the 4010 and not just because of the HP. The hydraulic capcity is much better on the 4115 which you'll appreciate for loader work. Fuel tank larger. More lift capacity on the 3PH. 350# heavier which will work better for the loader.

Check around at other manufactuer's for the tiller and rotary cutter. You can buy these from a variety of sources and they will most likely be several hundred dollars cheaper.

The 4010 will do the jobs you describe but I think you will be happier with the 4115.

I could be wrong, but I think the 14,900 for the new 4115 must be without the loader. If it's with a loader, I think it's an amazing deal.

Remember that the 4110 has the 4115 hydraulics, but is slightly smaller and cheaper, and a couple more HP than the 4010. It's the middle of the road.

Sorry made a mistake. The 4110 was $14900 but got a fax today that they can do $14300 with the loader.
