Rick,

I'm assuming you want to stick with utility size... take a look at the Advantage series 5105 with 40 PTO HP {179 cid} against your current 38 PTO HP {152 cid} {also assuming you have diesel and not gas}.

Some street prices are around ~$14,900 2WD {add ~$3500. MFWD}...

Going from your 1020 to the 5105 will be like heaven... You owe it to yourself to sit on this roomy platform, with no controls, levers, sticks banging into ya... Oh the seat is super comfy... almost like your living room recliner... /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Finally the hydraulics will blow you away... total 17.4 gpm @ 2755 psi... nothing cheap or low end about that!

If you're considering the compact series... then check out the 4700 or 4600 units...

Good hunting... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

thanks, my 1020 is a gas burner, but i am looking at putting new tires, $240 each, and a ps kit, $600+; and still having a 60's model gas burner tractor that overheats on occasion. i may have to keep it, if i can't find a good deal, but its a lot of fun lookin..

Wouldn't the 990 fit the 40 hp no frills description? Marty
