Hello,

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on the following deal on a new 2520 TLB package (0%/36 ends in 1 week):
2520 with R4's, block heater & power beyond
46 BH with subframe & 13" bucket
200CX FEL with 61" bucket, level indicator & standard hood guard
Written quote for $20600 + 7% NYS tax delivered & work ready

By my math this amounts to 16% off list and seems like a good deal to me??? I have a buyer for my old 755/70FEL/Turfs+Ags (2500+hrs) with $4800 cash. My big concern is the wait time for the 2520's - anywhere from late August to October. I have tried the 2520 & like the size which is only slightly larger than what I have with more power. All the dealers around here have lots of 3x20's in stock but a 3120TLB prices out on the Deere site at about $4000 more than the 2520. The 3x20's look too big for many of the places I've had to do landscaping projects and I'm concerned about the trailering weight of them. Anybody know the total weight of a 3x20/300cx/447BH ?

BTW, I tried out & priced out a Kubota 2630TLB ($22450 & 0%/36). Nice tractor & only 1-2 weeks for delivery.

I'd like to stick with Deere so am looking for any comments, opinions, moral support, etc. FYI, besides the loader & BH, I'll also be using the tractor with my 5'BB, 6'Rake & maybe a 4'-5' tiller later.

Thanks for any feedback.

Sounds good to me. I paid a little over 21K for a 4115/410/46 set-up more than two years ago.

It sounds like you are ready to buy, but if you need more time ask the dealer to find out what the next round of "deals" are. He does already know, you just need to get him to tell you :)

My 2520 arrived the end of March... It's much more machine than I need but I'm thrilled that I went with it. Like you, I considered the 3000 series but trailering the extra weight deterred me. The 3320 weights approx 1100 lbs more and would have forced me to get a larger trailer....
I didn't check the numbers but if you're at 16% you're getting a pretty good quote. I've heard and read that 10%ish is about the best many of the dealers are offering now. Not sure I was much help but you're welcome to shoot me an email if you have any other specific 2520 questions I may be able to answer for you... good luck:)

Well folks, I signed the PO for a 2520 with loader and BH.
I had narrowed my choices to the 2520 vs KB2630 or Massey 1528 (JD3120 was a long shot, but eliminated due to 5000lb+ weight with 300cx & 447 or 448 BH). In the end my deal on the 2520 was >$1500 off either the 2630 or 1528 (both good tractors). My local JD dealer has always been real good and I got the following without any heavy lifting:
2520+200CX/61"+46BH/13"+R4's+0%/36 all setup & work ready with the following extras - block heater, bucket level gauge, rear work light,4 rear wheel weights,4 extra suitcase weights (for my 3ptH bracket) for a total of $21113. From the feedback I have received and have read elsewhere in the forum I'm satisfied that I got a very good deal. I wanted the ballast cause I'll use the tractor & loader as much w/o the BH as with (I already have 6 more suitcase weights for use on my 3ptH bracket ). BTW, the wait time of up to 6 weeks is not such a problem after all. I have received a poor performance rating from my wife on my "honey-do" list (paint the shed, stain the decks, finish the master bath, etc). Here is my chance to get caught up (unless the tractor comes in earlier that is - uh oh!). As always thanks for the feedback.
