How high can you lift the 54" JD snow blade off the ground when attached to either the JD 2305 or JD 2320.
What I am trying to figure out is; If I get 12" of snow, I should have enough
room to push the snow to the side of my driveway and into the roadway.
If the snow is greater than 12", how high can I raise the the 54" Blade to push the pile of snow I have already moved??? to allow for any additional snowfalls.
Thanks for any other suggestions.

Stock out the box, you can only lift approximately 5-6", but if you don't mind making a small modification (welding two new tabs on the front support kit to accept the quick hitch and it will decreases down force) but you can now get up 8-9".

Wouldn't the 2320 have the ability to lift higher simply because it's a taller chassis'd tractor?? Anyway, I use a 54" blade on my 455 and I'm guessing when straight it will lift at least 9 inches.

My 318 with 54" blade lifts at least 8-10" and I was SHOCKED when I tried my 2210 to realize 4-6". I suspect you are correct about the 2320, but who it might turn out like the 2210 vs 318, hope not.

My 425 had a higher lift height on my 46" snowthrower than the 2210 does with the same blower.

Hi,

I have a 4010 with the 54 inch blade and I was surprised that the blade didn't lift higher. I didn't measure but 4-6 inches is a good estimate. However, this has never been an issue. I think you would be surprised what these little tractors can do in 4x4. If the piles get too big I can usually push them back farther unless maybe they get packed and hard, in which case I get to play around with my loader to move them. I suspect I could probably still move them with the blade but no sense in risking any damage.

For you I would guess it probably depends on how much show you usually get and if you have a loader. If you have a loader then don't even worry about it.

Hope this helps,
HD

John deere 2210 do you have any pics of the mod that allows the extra lift?
Does anyone know what the 54" blade and hitch will fit other than the 2305?

I sold that unit, but will get a pic showing how to accomplish the modification.

As for quick hitch's, they are the same for 2210 and 2305, copy/paste from Dealer Network. You will need these three pieces unless you have the older style hood guard which went with the 210 loader, but if 200X or 200CX or no loader you will need the attaching hardware.

BM20921 Front Quick-Hitch and Hydraulic Lift (2210, 2305)

BM20922 Hydraulic Angling Kit (2210, 2305)

LVB25396 Front Attaching Support Kit (2210, 2305)
2210, 2305 Tractors with 200X or 200CX Hood Guard
