I need some help on establishing a reasonable price for a 1999 JD4500 with MFWD, power reverser, R4's, 460 loader with HD bucket and JD pallet forks, 616 Rotary cutter, and ballast box. The tractor has 225 hours and I have owned it since new and has always been stored inside a garage. As you can see I have not used it much, so I am selling it. My little 2305 does all I need right now. I would be grateful for any information on pricing someone could give.

That's a great low hour tractor, you will have no problem selling it. I purchased a used JD 4600 power reverser with 460 loader in February 2006. The machine had 412 hours. Included was a Jd 48 backhoe, Kuhn Tiller , 613 JD Rotary and 6 foot York rake. Total purchase was 21,900. Looking at comparable sales I broke the purchase down as follows 4600 with loader 15,000, 48 backhoe 5,000 and implements 1,900. I was the first person to look and put down a deposit for full asking price. This person was in a hurry to sell because he was moving. He could have gotten at least 3,000 to 4,000 more if he waited for the right buyer. If I was selling your machine the range might be 18,000 for quick sale to 22,000 for right buyer. I have put on close to 100 hours since May and attest that this a well made machine.
