Yep, I've got the plow, weights and chains. I think I'll be working on a roof as well -I have a shed that is a bit dilapidated... while the weather is mild, I'm going to tackle that project. Good luck with the roof.. be safe!

I made a custom weight for my 320 today, to slip in my receiver tube.

A couple of heavy steel plates from a gym set up, I could barely lift the 2 attached to the tube, probably 120-150 pounds.

I also put 2 suitcase weights on the front to help with keeping the front tires from being pushed sideways when plowing. It might help a little.

VERY Slick JB!! Innovative and practical.. that 320 could probably run through a brick wall on ice.. I've got an old universal gym set collecting dust in the basement - could be a great use of some of some of the weights. Nice job!

I use to hang a couple of suitcase weights on the back, but this year I put a receiver tube hitch on, welded to a pc of angle iron, bolted to existing holes in the back frame member.

So there was no room to hang the suitcase weights, I had 4 of these steel plates, found at the dump, they are very heavy. I had put all 4 on my 6ft back blade, but that was too heavy, so I took 2 off.

Here's an off topic question... I have a chipper that I had to turn on it's side to clear a jam... now the motor won't start. Worked great before I did it! Any ideas as to how I screwed this one up? My cell is 443-904-2067... help! Wanted to clear up a bunch of debris today!

I can't help you, but there are alot of people in other forums here that probably can.

Thanks... got it - a shot of starter fluid under the spark plug and it fired up. Now just have a few acres of debris to chip/shred. Happy New Year!

I sold my 320 a few months ago. I wish I had kept it. Great tractor, only 470 hours on it. More 320 info can be found on mytractorforum.com

Where can find hub caps for my 320? Those are very nice.
Thanks,
Tom

The John Deere 285 and the John Deere 320 are virtually identical. The main difference id front end hydraulic lift on the 320. If you buy a used 285 front end attachment, measure the frame and mountings pins. John Deere made the 285 with two different frame sizes.
