john deere 110

i need help i got a 1968 john deere 110 and it will not start. what should i do to get it running???

welcome.......First, dont be so vague in your description of the problem.......How can we help if we dont get a decent description of what is happening?....Will it turn over, does it have spark?....that sort of thing

thanks and it will turn over. and it has spark but it is really weak. do the 8 hp kohles have a lot of compression because this one doesnt.

I have 1965 JD110,twice had fuel line problems..also check see if choke working.

none of the cables work but i un did the cable and choked it by hand and the gas line is in good shape and i hhave put gas down the carb and it still dont fire

Sounds like its been sitting a while.....What I would do is get your cables working, check and clean out the carb, see if the valves are sticking, check the points, clean and set them.......and then try again....bet it starts then.

Now I am thinking points/coil..like timing now off.

i got a vw coil for it because i saw that on another forum so im going to try to use that do you guys think that will work
