    Default John Deere

    2 1/2 acres. Thinking about a 340 w/ 54in deck any thoughts?

    I agree with Mark.

To move up would be several thousand $ and may be hard to justify.

No, what I meant was the 340 with a 54" cut was a good bang for the buck, if he was to move up and still get a larger deck he would need to step up to an X5xx series, thus more money.

An x360 is a nice model but is a 48" deck as I understood.

X500 I know is a bigger frame. But don't know how much difference that would make vs $
