I currently own a LX279, 48" deck, liquid cooled, lawn tractor in excellent condition. I have a few options.

Trade LX 279 in to JD dealer for $1500 on a:

425 with 550 hours (has plastic cam gear), 60" deck, $4200...or...

445 with 660 hours, All Wheel Steer, 54" deck for $5100 (not sure if it has the plastic cam gear, was built in November 1998)...or...

455 with 540 hours, All Wheel Steer, 54" deck, $5700

I think I am getting low balled on my LX279...

Any thoughts???

If it has been well maintained i wouldn't hesitate on the 455. They, along with the 430, are in my opinion the best garden tractors Deere made.

The prices seem pretty high. I did a quick search of Craigslist in ATL and I found a couple of 445s for less than $4000. I would go with the 445 or 455.
