John Deere 425
My first post since joining.

I am going to replace the stock 425 seat with either a 445/455 or the seat from a X700 series. I purchased a 445 suspension to mount the new seat on.
Any thoughts on which of these two will be more comfortable?

Thanks

Each person has their own comfort level, and what is good for one is not for another (from what I've experienced). Too many variables that are not known to decide for you.

But show us what you do get. ;)

I will post photos when the tractor is back together.

I picked up a 425 aws for a very cheap price and I am currently in middle of restoring it to it's former glory.

I appreciate your answer on the seat. I may have to stop by the Jd dealer to test one out.

Thanks

I'm interested, as I have a 425 aws too, and always interested in upgrading a seat.

I primarily use mine for picking up grass and leaves with the MC519 cart on it most of the time.

Sometimes I find a better seat hinders reaching out back to adjust attachments, but now have hyd. dump on the MC519 cart so reaching back isn't so critical.

Pics of the before, during, and after on the 425 restore would be great to see.

I agree.

Eventually, it would be nice to replace the worn seat on my 455 with one of those new premium seats off the X700 series with the armrests.
