Default JD 425/445/455 Quick hitch question

Will a front JD quick hitch from the JD 425/445/455 garden tractors fit a JD X475 garden tractor?

Yes, but you will have to route the hydraulic hoses to the other side of the tractor. It has been a lot of years, but I think? you may need to also get the optional change-over kit from Deere that is just a couple of hose extensions.

I moved a 425/445/455 hitch to my X485 no problem.
Can't go backward with the X485 hitch tho.

I was looking at a hitch from a 455. I have found out that the new style hitch will mount on the tractor with the mower deck mounted. I like that idea for when I need to do a quick job, but I am not sure it is worth the higher cost.

I found a new style front hitch with a blade on craigslist.
I picked it up this morning & I got it mounted on my X475.

I know I am dredging up an old thread here, but what seems to be the going rate these days for a decent blade/hitch combo for the x475? I see prices all over the place on craigslist.

Yep. Prices everywhere, depends on condition largely. I' ve seen $400 to $1500. Anything under $700 in good shape is a good deal, I would think.
