GX345 steering cylinder ball joint end

There's a ball joint at the end of the rod coming out of the power steering cylinder. It's the same ball joint that is used on the tie rod ends....I've never replaced one so I'm not real sure on how to replace it. Does it just screw off and then screw the new one on? Or is it more intricate than that? Any tips? Here's a pic of the part

Yes, the part is held on with the nut under the arm, and then loosen the locking nut by the hand in the pic. Unscrew the tie rod ball joint and pur a new one on, if that one is worn out. Deere parts show it to be about $25 part.
