I found a 1996 John Deere 325 17hp Kawa&hydro-- (no deck) in the shed of a hardware store that was going out of business. I bought it for $150.00 I put in new kingpin bushings,4 tires,a seat, muffler, battery, fuel pump, head gasket and some smaller stuff. It has 1300hrs on the "clock".The hood was trashed so instead of shelling out over $400.00 for a new hood I sheetmetaled the top&sides to what was left. It still tilts. I got the original headlights working etc. I built a homemade 48in snowplow for it. It's perfect for sidewalks. It now pulls wheelstands at will. Starts right up on the first crank.Idles low&smooth& No Smoke from anywhere. I hope you enjoy my project, saving it from the boneyard---hence came the name "Junkyard Dog". I enjoy your site. Thanks. Ed

Welcome, and that's quite a ride you have there. When I was a kid, STP stickers were all the rage; maybe you could add a couple.

Looks cool, doing a lot more good now than sitting in a storage building going to waste
