Question about the X700 and 4WD System
Guys,
Just out of curiosity, who makes the 4WD steerable axle on the X700? Is it Tuff Torq or JD? I see that the X700 is using the Tuff Torq K92 Transaxle, so I was wondering if the steerable front 4WD axle was the Tuff Torq KXH13. By the way, how good are the transaxles made by Tuff Torq? Any major issues with them?
Thanks!John Deere and New Holland/Ford Tractors and stuff

Re: Question about the X700 and 4WD System
Since the front and rear axles are made to work together I would think tugg Torq produces both. My x749 has been flawless so far.

Re: Question about the X700 and 4WD System
I do remember reading somewhere just recently that the front axle IS made by Tuff Torq.
The drivetrain in the X700 series is as close to bulletproof as you will find in a garden tractor. It is an extremely tough system, even overbuilt I would say, which is not a bad thing at all!
