I have a JD f935 72" front deck mower. I have been mechanicing for most of my life so this really has stumped me. I can't get the shaft to press out of the hub assy. Do I need to heat up the hub? I don't like that idea as I believe it will damage the seals. I have already broke one housing (hub)trying to press the shaft out. I am pressing on the bolt that holds the blade on. Does anyone have any tips for replacing the bearings in the hub?

looks to me that you would remove the nut holding the pulley on, remove pulley and key. Then press the shaft out through the bottom of the housing

I got it worked out. The disc on the blade end of the shaft screws off and the shaft then pressed out real easy. Thanks for your input.

Wondering what you are calling the "disc" ??
Can you tell from this pic from the jdparts for the F935 72" deck spindle ?

I guess we are all not talking about the same part. Here is the spindle that is for your front mount mower.

It would appear that the large disk on the lower end of the spindle is machined and not removable.

Not on the F725. Standard right hand thread.
