I don't know what others think but Deere really needs to make thier web site easier to find product info , you have to go into the congfigurator to get info that should be on the product page. I like to see columns that list standard features as well as options for all similar models. It's too hard to jump back and forth between pages to compare features.

I couldn't agree with you more!
and internally, they have changed
our product info to mirror what you
see at deere.com..
and i think it sucks!

Dutch445,

Except for markings I can't tell the difference between the X748 and my X595.

Were there any technical improvements made to this new line of tractors?

Edit: Is AWS going away in the X700 series?

Dutch,

You beat me to it (I was posting this info in the Yahoo Group!!). See my other post in the "JD Buying and Pricing" discussion for info on the X300, X500, and 2320.

No,
AWS isn't going away,
I actually think they will start to
market it more... as "4 wheel steer".

They see this as a way to compete with the
residential Z market, which they are late
coming into. (soon they promise)

And if you have been on both styles,
all wheel steer vs. a Zero turn, you can
really see the benefit of all wheel steer
for trimming,, the Z's are great for speed,
and striping a lawn, but IMHO the all wheel
steer is better at trimming..

There are minor improvements to the new
X700's.. new dash etc.. but basically stil
the same units..
