I got my bearcat 73554 last week and I finally got to put it to work today. I have to say, after having a Jinma chipper - there is a huge difference in quality. This sucker really works. The grapple bucket is really handy also.

I am going to order a spare belt (the shredder does not like cedar branches (even small one).

I put round 5 hours on it today. I can tell the blades are not as sharp as when I started. I hear there are some better quality blades I can order. I'll just flip them over for now.

Enjoy,
D.

Yeah, that grapple bucket is pretty mean looking. I usually have it on my 5525 Cab, but I had my 4720 plumber for it. The John Deere trash grapple bucket has pins for both sizes - so it is really cool to be able to us it on both.

THe 4720 will pick up a lock with the grapple, but nothing like the 5525. When moving some big stumps today, I had to get it just right.

My experience with the Jimna was less than stellar. I have been pleasantly surprised with the bearcat - excellent quality.

I am sure they make one that will fit your tractor.

I know one guy who bought a Jimma chipper...all he can say is "You get what you pay for..."

I'll continue looking for a used Bearcat, Salsco or other American made unit.
