670 steering problem?
Hello everyone,
My dad has a 670 with a strange steering "problem". While the engine is idling, you can little by little turn the steering wheel left and right, until the deere symbol in the middle is upside down. Funny thing is the wheels haven't actually moved. (It does steer fine when you're actually driving it.) Dad took it to the local dealer to get fixed. They replaced 2 hoses that were leaking, and $450 later, delivered it back home where dad found out it is still doing the same thing. The dealer said there is nothing else wrong with it. Dad is just worried he might be out in a field mowing and the steering might give out. I know I haven't seen a ton of posts about 670's here, but thought maybe someone else has had a similiar issue, and what they did about it. Thanks.

Re: 670 steering problem?
No worries Spike, That's just an anomaly of hydrostatic steering. My 4110 does the same thing

Re: 670 steering problem?
I agree with Kenny. Hydrostatic steering just does that. My 4400 does it. It's normal.

The 790's (670's progeny) still do it.
