I am looking for any info on where to get the yellow stripe decal that wraps around the very front of the hood on the 790. Mine has a deep scratch from the previous owner pushing something with the the loader.

Thanks,

Russ

Robbs, if I wanted to get ripped off I would go to the JD dealer. I'm looking for somewhere that might be a tad cheaper. Just thought maybe someone may know of some aftermarket decals that are cheaper than the JD.
Thanks though for your reply though.

Have you checked at all with the dealer?
I just checked JDParts and found this:
LVU800109 LABEL R.H. ADD 9.00 USD 9.00 USD
LVU800108 LABEL L.H. ADD 9.00 USD 9.00 USD

I hardly think $9.00 is a "rip off"

Be sure to take your serial # with you, it list two different ones, (I checked the newer one)

I got mine from the dealer at the reasonable cost stated above. Decals are hard to get right and factory stuff looks and performs better.
When I changed my front hood decal, I had to remove the front piece from the tractor to get a good job and to have the decal line up with the side decals.
Just my two cents....

I usually start with JDparts.com as it's pretty easy to get the part numbers. You can even order online and pick up the parts at the local dealer. Common parts like bulbs, batteries etc...you can usually get for less at the local auto parts store.

Thanks to all for your replies. My reasoning for getting away from the JD dealer is due to when I went to buy the hydraulic quick cuppler male ends for my 790, the dealer was going to charge me $24 per end. I went to the AGCO dealer and got them for $6.99 per end. Along with filters, oil etc. you are paying quite a bit more for the JD logo I think! IMOAO
