4310 throttle and 3 pt

My 4 year old 4310 has 2 simple problems. The throttle and 3 pt slide and will not hold on their own. When new both stayed put after placement. Anyone know how hard and what is involved with tinkering. Any site of adjustment seems to be buried behind cowling, etc. Thanks.

This is just a shot in the dark without being able to see it, but my guess would be that the linkages have loosened with use and the bolts just need to be tightened. The cover is gonna have to come off any way to fix it, so ya might as well take it apart. If your even slightly mechanically inclined you should be able to diagnose the problem just by moving the levers and watching the linkages. Good luck to you and let us know how it turns out.

I have had the throttle issue with my 4410. There is a bolt in the lever linkage that needs tightened. It holds some kind of friction disc against the lever. Mine needs tightened again. Will not hold RPM while mowing.

First time I did it I removed the steering wheel and dash cover. That turned into a real pain when putting it back together with the tilt wheel parts. Second time I did it I was able to just remove or lossen the right steering panel to gain access to the bolt that needs tightened.
