Re: How many acres do you own/operate on?
Property?
We have a 3 BR apartment in the city with an off road parking spot. The neighbors snickered when we bought a red GC2310TLB, but they won't be laughing this winter when our parking spot is always kept nice and clear and they are out shoveling for hours.

Where do you run the Massey in the city? Looks like this was a good thread.

30 acres, about 20 wooded, 9.5 open, 2 ponds with about .5 acre of water, with a 5103 to keep it somewhat in decent shape. Never have enough time to get it all done.

10 acres flat pasture land. Used to have a 2005 Kubota B7510HST (21 hp engine, 17 hp pto, 4WD) with the LA302 FEL (4 ft bucket). Traded that for a new Mahindra 5525 (55 hp engine, 45 hp pto, 2WD) with the ML250 FEL (6 ft bucket).

Going to put a hay crop on 7 acres. The 5525 is the tillage tractor that pulls 2-14 plows (either a JD 415 3pt rig or an IH #8 Little Genius pull plow),

7 ft offset disc, 7 ft tandem disc

and a MF-124 square baler.

The MF-135 handles the planting with an old Minneapolis Moline P3-6 grain drill with grass box (10 ft wide, 20 drops),

a 10-ft cultipacker

an old Allis Chalmers 80T trailer sicklebar mower,

and a JD 350 side delivery rake.

As you can see, I have zero brand loyalty. I buy what's cheap and available and fix it if I have to in order to get it to work.

1.5 acres in MN and a whole lot of sidewalk to maintain via snowblower in the winter.

Re: How many acres do you own/operate on?
2.1 acres in the Indy area - all grass/turf except for about 1/3 acre which
was a run-off area for water. Been reclaiming it - it has about 8"
of rich, black top soil with a hard clay base underneath.
The 3520 e-Hydro with 300CX loader, 655 tiller, ballast box, and 72" MMM does
hauling; snow removal, cutting of big weeds in the wet area. The
D928 Grasshopper does the lawn cutting and most of the snow removal
using the rotary broom.
Overkill - oh yeah! But, the 3520 has reclaimed about 1/2
acre of land; helped neighbors with tree planting, clearing, etc.
I wish the 72"MMM did NOT leave big ruts from the front casters
digging in on turns.
With all of the rain lately, my nicely turfed 1/3 acre is now
all brown and the weeds are coming back...need to find a grass
that will survive being underwater for a few to several days
after the big rains. The bluegrass, fescue blend didn't work out.
Been thinking about trading the Grasshopper for a deere 997 ZTR,
but love the rotary broom for snow. Easy-on, easy-off.
Cheers!

Re: How many acres do you own/operate on?
33 acres in northeast Ohio. Most of it wooded (about 26 acres) with a 1400' drive. I use the 3510h to keep the field mowed and the drive cleared and maintained.
