Had to leave the tractor outside and now it won't start. It turns over but won't fire. Full tank of diesel.

First thing that comes to mind is condensation. I would change the fuel filter and then put an additive in the fuel.

Are you running the glow plugs? Think the 2305 is probably like my 4010. You have to put the range lever in L or H; turn ignition key all way to "start"; count for about a count of 6; move range lever to N. Should start instantly. If you haven't regularly been doing this, and the engine cranks a bit before starting, you're not really using the glow plugs. Even on my 25 year old Benz, glow it, and it starts instantly.

Another option to using the range lever is to pull up the PTO button, go to "start", release the button after 6 seconds. In summer, it's only 2 seconds needed.

You CAN find a glow plug position on the ignition switch by putting a test light on a glow plug and run to ground. You'll find that the light comes on half way between "on" and "start". Trouble is, without the light, you cannot consistently find that position. So, we have to trick it with the range lever or PTO button.

If test light confirms circuit, then pull a test at each one to confirm each plug works.
I had one working plug faking me out.
When the 4 plugs are buss barred together. 3 were burned out.

Installed all new ones and it doesn't care now how cold it is.

if you need to, Use bullet heater to warm engine bay if no block heater is installed.
Throw quilt over to keep heat in.
Even a 500 watt shoplight can bump up the temp after a few hours.

30 below, the 856 needed massive heat one day with no options for power cords.
The BBQ's legs came off, and in no time covered complete with canvas it was like a hot day at the beach when it fired off.

Keep battery charged wether off charger or other vehicle.

I never use starting fluid as it is just too damaging to heads to starter.
What works 100% and is gentle is WD40 directed in w/o aircleaner while cranking.

How old is the diesel? The reason I ask is that here in MN they don't add the anti-gel until the beginning of September. Summer diesel will gel unless treated.

Condensation or fuel gel is my guess as well. Get some power service anti-gel in the tank.

This sounds like a classic case of gelled diesel. Go buy some PowerService 911. Remove the bowl on the RH side of the engine and fill with 911. Add a significant amount of 911 or PowerService Winter Fuel Treatment to the tank. Warm up the engine area for a while(quilt/blanket and trouble light, heater, something) and it will probably start right up.

On my 2210 I have to cycle my glow plugs 2-3 times when it gets to zero or below but it always starts. I'm confident you have a fuel problem. These engines are normally not hard starters.

Are you running synthetic oil? My tractor starts much easier in winter with synthetic vs. dino. I've started it at -15F using only the glowplugs. Have added the block heater but it's not necessary (although much better for the engine/battery/starter).
