I am eagerly waiting on planting time. anyone else got their soil looking like sand? Just curious, I've got ten trays started from seeds under a grow light right now. Don't mean to sound crazy

One of the farmers in Michigan was planting something yesterday. I have no clue what it was since we still have nights in the 20's.....

I would love to get in the field! But....

What kind of field is that?? If mine were that smooth I'd have piles of rocks 5 ft. high on each end.

Same here:D. I wish I had dirt like that.

If it got out in the fields now my tractor would sink out of sight:eek:.

Hoping in a couple weeks to get started though.

Mine is dry, too dry to finish grade right now so I am hoping for some snow and or rain tonight and tomorrow. Hoping to get an early start on an additional 1.4 acres of new lawn this year.

Now's a great time to get ready to plant, I've been using the warm temperatures (relatively speaking) and lack of foliage in the pre-spring to clear out some bramble. I'd post pictures but I'm worried someone in the great Commonwealth would use it as evidence of arborcide before I can use the Fargo method of corpse disposal. :)

I have been hauling more black topsoil to my garden and haven't plowed the main garden yet.

I took my rear tine and plowed the beds for lettuce, onions, carrots, spinach, mustard and radishes....and then plowed 2 rows to get our peas in the ground. Glad to have all those planted.

I have 2 trays of tomatoes and peppers in the house...We start all plants from seed and wait about the first of May to plant everything else...And we plant Heirloom seeds.

Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds - 1275 Heirloom Seed Varieties!

I go down to the river and creek bank behind my home and get rich black top soil, and haul it to my garden....real good soil:D

PLANT ????? Heck, I still have my snowblower on!:D

It might be a little premature, but if the weather is decent I'll be taking the blower off and putting the loader on this weekend. I definitely don't see anything getting planted around here for a little while.:(
