Actually the two wires that come from the selenoid are black and they do not appear to have numbers on them. They are not red, purple or white like some of the other wires throughout the tractor. There is no black protective plastic around them. There may have been at one time. This is the original selenoid.

Might be worth a try...my '06 (180hr) 4320 gets cranky about this now and then, I raise the front wheels off the ground an inch with the fel and it slips into and out of 4wd easily.

I will have to go out and crawl under the tractor and see what mine are. What did you find on fuse f-5??

Ok to follow up on this....It turns out that the little pins in the connector were not seating fully. This is the connector at the selenoid. When I was installing my front pto kit and had the rear wheel off, was able to really get at the connector and selenoid. I took the connector apart and after cleaning and reseating the little pins inside the connector the 4wd worked fine. Must have really gotten ripped by a branch or something.

Thanks for all the help...this has over 500 hits. I might add the 4310 is a tuff little tractor.

It seems like that is a common problem, I should make sure all the wires are "high and tight" on mine!!
