I wanted to get my 3-spool Prince sectional valve adapted to the 3720. You may remember seeing my valve before, I had it on the 2520 and did a thread on the whole process including home-made power beyond, etc. Anyway, when buying the 3720 this time, I decided to make my life easier and pay JD for power beyond. Doing so simplified the process of adding a valve. So I needed a bracket. I noticed a couple unused exising holes in the ROPS. It seemed that I could span the ROPS, hitting a hole on each side of the tractor, and also pick up a couple mounting points on the power beyond bracketry that JD added. Once that was planned it was obvious there was going to be room for a toolbox! Wow, a toolbox! So, here is the bracket, pretty simple arrangement of 1 inch and 1.25 inch square tube (first pic). Second pic shows it installed. Had to drill one hole in the power beyond bracket, and picked up one exising hole, in addition to the hole in each ROPS tower. Pic 3 shows the toolbox, a Larin product from FleetFarm (or TSC), and painted more like true JD green.

Here is the valve mounted on it's sub-bracket (first pic). Mounted on the bracket and plumbed rather neatly, on the tractor (second pic). Another view (pic three) showing toplink plumbing from this sectional valve. And the operator ergonomic view (fourth pic).

I am working on a sidelink (hydraulic cylinder). Last night I had the parts about ready to weld together and thought I better make sure the backhoe works OK with what I had already done, just in case. It didnt work. The toolbox interfered with the seat on the 375 hoe, so it had to be moved forward as far as the ROPS would allow. The toolbox still opens OK, even with the tractor seat down. Next, the large OEM power beyond loop hose was in the way of the hoe seat latch. So I turned it downward again, similar to stock, but then it appeared it was going to interfere with the hyd toplink cylinder area, and even without that concern, it always interfered with hoe installation somewhat. After studying it for a while, it dawned on me. I routed the loop hose (which is a return line to the hyd sump) to the right, same as my supply line I added to the new valve. The loop hose routes under the new valve, to the front of the valve, and then back along the other side to reach the OUT port on the valve. I then realized it did not need a quic connect coupler set here, because all the needed ports for hoe connect are present without that return line (a seperate return line connect point is provided by JD). So I removed the quick connect and hard-plumbed it direct into my valve. Pics tomorrow. Now I have much better routing, less dangling hose problems, lower restriction in the hyd system, and the hoe fits again.
