I saw the seal leaking the last use of the year. Anyone know how to replace the seal?
Chute rotator cylinder. 59" snowblower.

Do you have the parts breakdown schematic?
A pic would be great.

I just looked in JDParts, found the cylinder but no parts breakdown for it. Can you post a picture of it? Particularly the end where the rod exits.

or just sell me the blower for a discount, then you don't have to worry about it!

The seal is coming out.
I can't see any way to take either end off.

Oh man...that cylinder is welded shut. I hate when they use them:mad:

You can try a local shop and see if they will tackle it...or source a replacement cylinder that can be rebuilt. As little stress that is on those cylinders-they should last forever! I assume your out of warranty?

if you need a replacement....i would try surpluscenter.com to see if you can find a match. i'm sure a deere replacement won't be cheap.
