3-Point Hitch Problem with JD 2520 3 pt hitch

Aloha,

Anyone have/had a problem with their 3pt. hitch?
After parking mine overnight, next day..3 pt hitch won't move
changed the hydro oil and filter...still won't work.
Front loader works fine..
ordered the manual for $200 but gonna take a week to reach me..
any suggestions/advice/ideas as what I can check for in the mean time?
Having hard time seeing my tractor "out sick"...

The valve that controls the drop rate isn't in the lock position is it?

Turn the drop rate knob just below the seat hope it helps.

If it turns out to be the knob, don't feel bad. Changing the oil, filters and buying the manual was all a good investment

What manual for $200? The technical manual on CD is about $75.00, and the owners manual is a free download.

Had the same problem with mine. I did adjust the valve like was mentioned before but the lever was like twisting and hard as heck to move. I removed the seat and plastic covers to see if something was catching and/or an adjustment I could find and could not find anything. I smeared grease on my finger and applied to the cut out that it travels in and a butterfly can land on it and make it go down. Surprised the you know what out of me but it still works perfect after a couple months. Worth a try while waiting on the manual.
