I am hoping to find a JD 855 by this fall for snow removal. I would like to find one with a cab. Question 1: Did JD ever offer thier own cab for the 855? Question 2: Are the Curtis and Cozy cabs considered "hard sided" cabs? Question 3: Any opinions on the best made cab for this tractor as far as tight sealing, noise, visibility, and easily removeable doors. Thanks.

Just as they still do today with their 2x20 compacts, Deere did offer a cab but only in Europe. No factory cab for x55 North American units.

I have seen used hard sided cabs for x55 series tractors on ebay made by aftermarket companies

I recently got to take an up-close look at a Cozy Cab mounted on a 955. Looked like a really nice unit. Hard-sided, removable doors, heater.

Without a doubt, nothing comes close to the Jodale Perry cab on the 8 or 955's

Correct me if I'm wrong. I thought Cozy is out of business and I called Curtis and they said they don't make cabs for X55's anymore.

I'd be surprised if anybody had a new cab for a 55 series. I'd love to have one on the 855, haven't found one on eBay or elsewhere that is in good shape, isn't too expensive and is actuallly reasonably close by.
