Seem to recall some discussion here on TBN regarding a problem area for the 40 series tractors.
IIRC - The wet brakes shed debris into the common hyd sump. And the location of the filter is downstream of the pumps - steering and implement.
So, the brake lining can end up distributed throughout the tractor's hydraulics before it's filtered out of the hyd fluid.
