shopping for JD 5045

First post. Shopping for a JD 5045 with FEL, 4WD, R4 tires; biggest problem local dealer in south MS wants $25000.00 for tractor and $5k for FEL, PLUS $400.00 for R4 tires. From what I read here thats WAY HIGH. Any thoughts,comments. What is a fair price for this? Any help appreciated.

Did you notice the date of this thread?

From the looks of it the dealer in Summit (Southern Tractor) lost the deal to the Mahindra dealer. When I lived there it was Price Tractor which sold out to Southern Tractor in the mid 70's a mega dealer. Bought my 4020 there and my dad bought several there too. At any rate in my present locale (New Mexico) most of the dealers are selling the new equipment for 15 to 18% off list.
