Backhoe Stuck in Gear

I Have a 1973 410 Backhoe that stuck in gear, High and Low range works fine just unable to change gears,any ideas would be helpful. Had this machine for about 20 years.

Pull the cover that has the range/reverse and gear shift sticks. Check the shift rail that the gear shift stick engages, it may be broken.

Zebrafive is correct as the shift rails have a history of the steel tab cracking and breaking off.
