is there a difference between a 2520 62D and 2320 62D deck?

I was wondering... is there a difference between a 2520 62D and 2320 62D mower deck? Just the deck itself? My dealer is trying to tell me there is. He says a 62D deck off a 2520 will not fit a 2320..... anyone have any input on this?

Not likely a difference in the deck, but very likely there is a difference in the hangers and brackets that fasten that deck to the particular tractor. Interchanging decks can get to be a headache and the dealer is trying to avoid that problem.
Are you trying to upgrade tractors and keep the deck?

I thought the decks were the same, but in another thread someone (who probably knows a lot more than I do) said there are two different 62D decks because of the difference in front wheel tread width between the 2520 and 2320. The difference is apparently in the placement of the drive over ramps.

The deck shell is the same, but the drive over ramps (see above) as well as all of the attaching parts are different. All of the attaching parts could be switched over, but the fact that the ramps are different make it so that the two decks are not interchangeable

no, i just bought a 2520 62D deck that the trucker picked up this morning with plans to install it on my 2320. I was calling my dealer to order a 2320 lift kit for it and he is was saying that the decks are different!... then he proceeds to tell me just 2 days ago he took in a used 62D with all the install parts needed for the 2320!. WTF!!! lol.... nothing is ever simple.

The shafts are also different lengths. I have had both the 2320 and the 2520.

According to my manual the 62inch drive over deck for the 2320 is Model No. 62D1. The deck for the 2520 is Model No. 62D2. The 62D2 model is also used for the 4115.
The deck on my 2520 is indeed a 62D2.
