- 2007 John Deere X744, 2005 John Deere 2305, 1997 Deere F1145,
With the new "1" series Sub-compact tractors introduced, I am thinking that the X700, X500 and X300 series are likely soon to be updated? Has anyone heard anything about a replacement series for the X700's for 2012, or will the X700's be built in 2012 as well?
I see the L100 series was updated to the D series recently, so I am imagining the X300- X700 series will soon be updated?
I Really love my 2007 X744 AWS with 48" deck, I use it almost daily and have a hard time getting away from AWS.
I do have an 06 Deere 2305, which turns short for 2wd, and being 4X4, but for 2012, I am thinking of setting up my 2305 permantly on the Snowblower and cut with the AWS mowers.
My X744 has about 831 hrs on it now, I bought it last June with 692 hrs. Its an 07 model. I put 91 hrs on the X744 from last June to last Oct, and this year I have already put on 48 hrs. Really love the X700's, but was wondering if a replacement series was coming?
I am hoping to keep the X744 as a long term machine, and perhaps when I get around 1800- 1900 hrs on the X744, I will sell off the 455, and put the X744 on the bagger permantly, and likely get another X700 series with lower hrs or whatever series replaces the the X700's.
May even consider a NEW X744- 749 if the series is going to be updated in a few years, and buy a discounted new one from the dealer. Time will tell though.
I am really happy with my 2305 Deere, but its better suited for snow removal and rototilling, at least I am finding out anyway, and most of the properties I maintain are better suited to be cut with the X744 with the 48"deck vs the 2305. I really like the AWS and won't move away from it.
The old 455 AWS has been a good mower, and is currently on the hydrolic Dump MCS collection system and has around 1,218 hrs on it now. Its permantly on the MCS, but if I get another X700 series in a few years, I will put the 07 X744 on the MCS and sell off the 455, but we will see.
