Thanks to everyone for your help and the pics of the manual. Any pics of the wheel hubs? At this stage I have the whole front end apart and am rebuilding it, the biggest part of the problem was the left front, but since the right was so wore am rebuilding it as well. Just waiting on parts to come in. It was rebuilt before with what looks like the wrong bearings.

Any suggestions on replacing the sleeves on each side? They look like they are going to be fun.

What do mean by sleeves? Not sure what u mean.

Are you referring to the oil seal wear sleeves? I'm not sure if that front axle is the same as the one used in my 955, but going by those pics of the manual it looks viturally identical. The wear sleeves were not really a problem to replace. It's not too bad pulling the old sleeves off, but it can be a bit of a pain putting the new ones back on. The rubber backing does not want to slide easily onto their mounts. A little dab of grease on the rubber part of the sleeve makes life a whole lot easier.
