Hello...

Installing a LVB24981 Power Beyond kit on my 2305... :confused2:

I am hardly getting any pressure or Flow from the PB outlets.... I think it has to do with the little pipe plug that goes in the port behind the loader SCV...

I put it in, but i did not see or feel any threads to screw it into!.. its in there about 1" Is there something I'm missing here?

I installed my Backhoe valve and it hardly moves the cylinders at all! This has to be the problem???

It definitely related to the plug. It diverts the fluid to OUT port. Unsure in the 2305, but on the other 2x20 series and my 4110 the threads are way down in there.

Did you purchased the correct PB kit for your valve. Some PB kits have a hex screw and screw into a threaded hole to block the flow to the out port. Other PB kits have an an adapter fitting that screws into the PB port, and has no screw, but still blocks off the flow to the OUT port.

With a correct kit installed, only the cyl expended fluid flows out the OUT port. If you have maybe a little fluid coming out the PB port. You definitly have something wrong.

If you take the PB hose and put in a bucket, youwill soon see if the PB is working .

If you take the OUT hose and place in a bucket, and you get lots of fluid, then you know the PB kit is not working, or you have the wrong kit.

I bet your 3pt isn't working good either.

Which hose is feeding the 3pt, the PB hose or the OUT hose?

You can determine if the port has threads for the screw by using a pic with a small L shape on the end. If no threads, you have the wrong kit.

If the hole is threaded, screw the screw in all the way, to block the fluid to the OUT port. BY looking at the fluid from the PB and the OUT ports, you will know.

took it apart 2am this morning... the plug is not lost, its still there, but to get a good look at it, im gonna have to strip down the Loader SCV linkage assembly and the floor boards I guess... I wish I could remember the size hex that plug was!

Yep a Deere Kit..

My 3pt works just as fast as ever...

Apparently there are threads, just dont know if I got the plug to them or not...

It should be screwed in till it bottoms out.

If you don't have much flow/pressure on the PB port, how is the 3pt working. Where is the 3pt getting the flow from?

In an earlier post, someone had posted that pressure was lost down stream, and the situation was investigated, the hex screw had backed out, causing most of the fluid to exit the OUT port on the FEL valve.

Which hose is feeding the BH valve?

Can you describe the fluid path to the BH, from the pump. You know, pump, FEL valve, etc, which ports, etc

Well ...

I took everthing apart again, and went after that set screw (aka PLUG).
I tightened it and whoollaa  the backhoe came to life!

The Power Beyond supplies so much fluid/pressure that w/ engine at idle the valve responses are very satisfying!

I will post pics as soon as I clean her up!!! I gave her a premier workout today to get the bugs out!

Thanks again guys!

JJ,
He's installing the JD PB kit... not working on a typical control valve. The JD's have a couple of ports on the rockshaft cyl. head for PB. After attaching the PB hyd. lines to those ports, you have to remove a plug on the side of the rockshaft cylinder head, install a diverter plug through the access hole, then reinstall the pipe plug on the side of the rockshaft cyl. head.

He did not have the diverter plug tight, so the fluid was bypassing the PB circuit internally. The rockshaft is after the PB, so it will work fine even if the fluid is bypassing the PB circuit.
