Just curious to if Deere is planning on changing the numbering system on the 3000twenty and 4000twenty series CUT's like the big tractors. Like 3033(3320) or 3035(3520). Haven't heard or read anything lately about it.

Hiya,

I wouldn't think so. The 3x20 series is actually the "3000 Twenty series". It's classified as the deluxe series in the compact utility class Deere offer. They have the standard series compact utilities in the 3032 and the 3038 to compete on the Kubota price point.

To break out the numbering series in the twenty series
first digit = chassis size, 2 for small, 3 for mid, 4 for large
second digit = model 1, 3, 5 or 7
20 = Twenty series

I have not heard anything lately either but they will be changing to the other numbering series. The first # will still identify chassis but the last three will be a ref to gross hp and the final alpha character if used will indicate entry level vs premium (e,r,m,etc). This is what Deere is calling thier worldwide numbering system and will make it a whole lot easier with all of the choices to understand duty level and power of the tractors. The only machines that have not moved to this system yet are the bulk of the 3 and 4000 series and the 6000 30 series. All other machine models have changed to the worldwide system.

The already do it with the 3E series and the 1023E and 1026R. I am sure the other models will change too when they are upgraded.
