I'm new here. Read up on several threads regarding this topic. Attempting to troubleshoot the following: Tractor is parked. Turn the key, get dash lights, hour meter display, and a distinct click on the right side of the tractor, but it fails to turn over. In the past when this has occurred, could press the fwd/rev pedals/or press the brake, put on the parking brake & release it a few times and it would start. Have not been able to clearly ID what ( if any of these maneuvers) allowed it to start. I now think all these actions may have been independent. A year ago, replace the seat switch; also replaced the brake switch. Did not resolve this problem. Check fuse panel and all fuses OK. Today, removed the neutral start switch, continuity tested it, and it worked fine. Replaced a worn pin plug on the ground wire (green one). Put the same switch back in, plugged the switch wires into the lead from the main harness (On the rt side of the tractor just below the floor board). Turned the key, same situation. I get power, a click, but it does not turn over. BTW I did replace the battery 1 wk ago w/ a new hibernator. This tractors been down 2 weeks now. From the other threads it doesn't sound like a thermistor. Any thoughts?
